We've been getting numerous reports of users, who have attempted to sync their i Phones after the latest i Tunes updates (7.4.x), finding that i Tunes shows space on their i Phone occupied by something specified only as 'Other'.
Often, this space may be only small amounts (a few megabytes), but we have received reports of 'Other' taking up as much as 4 gigabytes.
Unfortunately, scouring available information sources and speaking with Apple hasn't led to any type of easy resolution.
Over the last few months, I’ve begun to have significant browser stability problems; Safari would often crash repeatedly when accessing webpages that formerly caused no problems.
Reports vary, but on an i Pad 3, for example, you need at least 5.8 GB of free space.
The update will not happen if you have less than that.
Keep in mind that if you try to update an app purchased from another i Tunes Store account, you are prompted for that account’s ID and password.
If you can’t provide them, you aren’t allowed to download the update.
