Residents and partners in Surrey’s Clayton Heights community developed the Clayton Heights Activity Team (CHAT) to make sure young people in Clayton Heights have a safe space to go in the afternoons and evenings.
The Clayton Heights Activity Team (CHAT) will connect people ages 13 to 18 to support to increase their confidence, life skills, employability, health and sense of belonging and work to prevent and reduce crime in the area.
Participating in a grief support group allows you to share feelings, feel supported and be reassured that your experience is a normal part of life.
We provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment in which to share feelings and thoughts.
Some people are fine with a cup of tea and a chat, others may wish to join a support group or see a counsellor regularly.
The first step is to make an appointment with a counsellor, please call 604-531-7484 or email us.
Cloverdale’s Clayton Heights Activity Team (CHAT) is a key initiative in the Surrey Public Safety Strategy.
This Surrey youth outreach program connects Clayton Heights’ youth with mentoring and peer-to-peer support from young adult volunteers.
Volunteers are better able to connect young people with the support they need by building trust in a safe place like Clayton Hall.
Loss is a normal part of life but when someone dies we can feel anything but normal. It may seem that there is no one to listen or who understands.
Our registered clinical counsellors and trained volunteers provide individuals and/or their families with emotional, practical and spiritual support to help people deal with the strong and unfamiliar emotions which accompany change and loss.
